Hours after CRPF criticised Omar Abdullah for not attending a ceremony for the slain CRPF men,the chief minister rushed to airport and placed wreaths on their coffins.

Soon after the wreath laying ceremony at District Police Lines, some angry CRPF men and officials told reporters that neither Omar nor any other politician who are guarded by the force came to pay tribute to the five men who died for the country. They also complained that no politician visited the injured CRPF men in hospital.

Soon, these reactions were all over TV channels, forcing Omar to rush to the airport to pay respects to the CRPF slain men. He took along his deputy Tara Chand and state home minister Sajjad Kitchloo.
