The six Congress ministers in the Mamata Banerjee government skipped a state Cabinet meeting chaired by her on Wednesday. None of them even attended office on Wednesday.
The Cabinet meet hardly lasted 10 minutes,and ended without transacting any serious business.
Shaqueel Ahmed,AICC observer in charge of West Bengal,said over the phone from Delhi: I told them not to resign till Friday. Regarding the Cabinet meeting,I advised them to take spot decisions since they are senior leaders.
Minister for Minor Irrigation Manas Bhuniya,however,said: We received instructions from the high command not to attend the Cabinet meeting.
