BB 7 is not dead. True to that,the company launched the 9720,that focuses on social networking and is cheaper. The 9720 comes with BB 7.1,which features shortcuts that let you swipe to unlock the phone or open the camera app. It has a 2.8-inch touchscreen and a full QWERTY keypad. Unlike the Q5,this phone comes with a trackpad. This phone also has a dedicated BBM key and BlackBerry Balance (to keep work-related content separate from personal documents).

Nikon Coolpix S6600

Strengthening its Coolpix range of compact point-and-shoot cameras,Nikon launched the S6600 for Rs 14,450. This camera features a 16-megapixel CMOS sensor,12x optical zoom and good macro shooting capability (the camera can be just 2 cm away from the object). This camera can connect to the Internet via WiFi. The S6600 will be available this week,in three colours. Nikon had launched 17 cameras a few months ago and this camera slots in to its lineup. It has a “vari-angle” LCD screen that lets users click pictures from various angles without problems. Low-angle shots are easy to click using a tilting screen. The WiFi feature lets users transfer pictures wirelessly to smartphones and tablets.
