Cashew prices up on firm demand

Lower stocks following tight supplies from growing regions also supported the upside in prices.

Cashew prices rose by Rs 5 per kg in the national capital today on the back of firm demand from retailers and stockists.

Cashew kernel No 180,No 210,No 240 and No 320 rose by Rs 5 each to conclude at Rs 630-650,Rs 570-590,Rs 540-580 and Rs 510-550 per kg,respectively.

Marketmen said firm demand from retailers and stockists to meet marriage season demand against tight stocks position,mainly pushed up cashew prices.
