22 killed,over 45 injured in three blasts in Pakistan
Islamabad: At least 22 people were killed and 45 others injured in three separate bomb blasts in Pakistans restive Balochistan province and Orakzai tribal region on Thursday. At least 14 people were killed and over 20 others injured in two bomb attacks in the restive Balochistan province of southwest Pakistan,officials said. Eleven people died when a bomb went off in a crowded commercial area in Sibi town,officials said. Another 25 people were injured by the powerful blast,which damaged four shops and destroyed several cars and motorcycles. Three persons were killed instantly while eight more died in hospital.
Uzbek climbers missing after Nepal avalanche
Kathmandu: Two mountaineers from Uzbekistan went missing after they were hit by an avalanche while trying to scale the 8,091-metre Mount Annapurna in Nepal,an official said Thursday. Climbers Ilyas Tukhvatullin,54,and Ivan Lobanov,51,were swept away on Monday evening and have not been found yet,Tilak Pandey,an official at the mountaineering division of the tourism ministry,said. They were at camp two at around 6,500 metres and we had been informed by their colleagues from the base camp after they were hit by an avalanche, Pandey said.
Bangla ex-army chief to face trial in graft cases
Dhaka: Former Bangladeshi army chief Harunur Rashid was Thursday sent behind the bars along with two other persons to face trial in major money laundering cases. Rashid,currently chairman of the Destiny group,appeared in the dock weeks after the same court overturned their bail orders and four others issued earlier by a subordinate court for their alleged involvement in siphoning out Taka 3,285.26 crore by cheating investors.
5 workers trapped,1 hurt in China mine collapse
Beijing: Five workers were trapped and one injured after a metal mine they were working in collapsed Thursday in Hunan province. The accident took place at the Zhaojialong metal mine in Chenzhou,official news agency Xinhua reported.

Dubai: In a new trend in Dubai,infants as young as a few days old are participating in yoga classes to improve bodily functions. Around 34 infants as young as a few days old to 12 months were initiated into the hugely beneficial exercise along with their mothers at a workshop in Dubai,Gulf News reported.
