Public debt increases to Rs 33.82 lakh crore in Q3
New Delhi: The governments public debt in the September-December quarter increased by 3.2 per cent to Rs 33,82,645 crore over the previous three-month period mainly due to higher borrowings. The public debt at the end of September quarter was Rs 32,76,368 crore.
Cabinet nod to national data sharing policy
New Delhi: The government on Thursday decided to share its data across departments. The Cabinet’s approval of the National Data Sharing and Accessibility Policy will apply to all data and information created,generated,collected and achieved using public funds provided by the government directly or through authorised agencies.

Flipkart buys Letsbuy for $20-$25 million
Bangalore: Flipkart,Indias biggest online retailer of books and electronics gadgets,has acquired smaller rival Letsbuy,seeking to consolidate its position ahead of Amazon.com Incs planned entry into the Indian market. Flipkart did not disclose the value of the deal,but a person with direct knowledge of the matter said it was somewhere in the range of $20 million to $25 million.
Sahara-Turner JV plans $25 billion projects
Mumbai: The Sahara group has formed a joint venture with US-based Turner Construction and private equity firm Acropolis Capital to undertake $25 billion worth projects of Sahara Prime City over the next two decades.
