Car exports may decline this fiscal,says Maruti

Mumbai: Maruti Suzuki India Ltd has said its exports in the ongoing fiscal may decline as global markets continue to be sluggish. “Export will not be better in this fiscal. It will remain more or less the same as last year or may be even worse. Situation in many global markets has not improved yet,” Maruti Suzuki India Chairman RC Bhargava said.

‘Pranab among top forces dealing transfer pricing’

New Delhi: Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee has been ranked fifth in the list of top forces that effectively deal with disputes and other issues concerning transfer pricing,prepared by UK-based newsletter TPWeek.

Only govt’s equity to be divested in FPO: Nalco

New Delhi: The state-run aluminium maker has said the government proposes to only offload its equity in the company as part of the disinvestment programme. “We do not need any money for Nalco’s own funding. So if the disinvestment comes,it will be only out of the government holding only,” Nalco Chairman B L Bagra said.

In talks with Premier to supply diesel engines: Fiat

New Delhi: Fiat India has said it is in talks with Premier to supply diesel engines for its compact sports utility vehicle RiO. “It will be a 1.3 litre multijet,75 bhp engine which we are also supplying to Maruti Suzuki,” Fiat India Automobiles CEO Rajeev Kapoor said.
