ECB: RBI puts more segments under infra definition

Mumbai: The Reserve Bank on Wednesday expanded the definition of infrastructure sector for raising funds through external commercial borrowings (ECBs). Taking into account the harmonised master list of infrastructure sub-sectors,it has been decided to expand the existing definition for infrastructure sector for the purpose of availing ECBs,RBI said in a notification. Growth likely to pick up in Q3,Q4: Mayaram

Indian stocks: Goldman stays underweight

New Delhi: Notwithstanding a sharp rebound in equities,Goldman Sachs on Wednesday said it stays “underweight” on Indian shares and has a Nifty 12 month target of 5,700 as the country’s macro fundamentals are still “challenged”. According to the firm,the growth outlook for the economy remains challenged,which coupled with tighter financial conditions may lead to lower valuations. PTI
