Taking a dig at Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi for using the analogy of Jupiter’s escape velocity to make a point that Dalits have to struggle more to attain success, the BJP Tuesday said even Jupiter’s escape velocity would not help the Congress “escape its responsibility after wreaking havoc on the Indian economy, jobs and security.”

Rahul had told a Scheduled Caste conference that Dalits needed “escape velocity” of Jupiter to achieve success.

BJP spokesperson Meenakshi Lekhi said the government is looking for an “exit strategy with talk of escape velocity”.

“2014 is some months away, how many states are the Congress willing to concede in 2013 or is this all talk of escape velocity a sign of scooting even before 2014 elections are announced,” Lekhi told reporters here.

Along with Rahul, the BJP targeted Finance Minister P Chidambaram, who,in an interview, had said Narendra Modi does not have the political stature of former Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee and that Modi “has a chequered past”.
