Bengal: 3 killed in CRPF fratricide

We are yet to understand why the clash broke out.

In another case of fratricide,two CRPF constables,deployed for anti-Naxal operations at Silpara camp in Lalgarh in West Midnapore district of West Bengal,were shot dead on Tuesday by their senior who later shot himself. Head Constable Tulsidas killed Riyaz Ahmed Bhatt and R Kumar after a scuffle,opening fire from his service weapon at around 9 pm.

The ‘Bravo’ company of CRPF 184 Battalion is posted at Silpara. “We are yet to understand why the clash broke out. We were told that there was tension between the head constable and personnel. However,it seems that the personnel were depressed,” a senior official said.
