Actress Genelia D’Souza says being a sports person helps to keep her stamina levels high.
She said: One would wonder how does it help a Management student and a sports person like me to lead a hectic life of an actress. But,it helps me to manage my schedules in Hindi and South film industries and also to keep my stamina levels high.
Genelia said she has been a state level athlete and national level football player in her school and college days. Despite being actively into sports,I did not pursue it as a profession. I did not chose any career,it chose me,she added.
Genelia who debuted opposite Ritesh Deshmukh in Tujhe Meri Kasam in 2002,said she was not a fitness freak. The actress said: Fitness depends on the diet and I have only home cooked food.
The actress was part of online market portal eBay Dream House challenge where she transformed an empty space into an attractive home with online shopping. She had a budget of Rs 4.5 lakh and had two weeks to browse eBay,identify items for the look she wants to create.
Speaking about her experience,she said a home is an extension of the personality of a person.
She said: We are all so overburdened with life and work that we need our own space to relax and unwind. I wanted to keep the young and vibrant look. The actress says,for this,she used red,blue colours to get the right feel.
