The Jolly Grant Airport in the flood-hit Uttarakhand on Wednesday evening became a venue for petty politics between two rival parties of Andhra Pradesh. A scuffle broke out between TDP Adilabad MP Ramesh Rathod and Congress MP Hanumant Rao over relief operation.

Both parties had got tickets booked for rescued people from the state. The booking is done based on the list that is available in the control room. Since there was no coordination between the TDP and the Congress teams, both parties got tickets booked in the name all those who are from their state. The TDP alleged that the Congress has not taken care of people from the state. “The Congress government is misusing its power. We want to extend our best help to our people affected by the disaster,” Rathod said.

Since the disaster, several CMs have been making a beeline to the state to show their concern. “We are in trouble to ensure government accommodations for them. Ministers and senior officers keep on camping in our control room. It is difficult to ensure protocol,” a state estate department official said.

Meanwhile,Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna reiterated that the Kedarnath Temple would be renovated by the state government.
