Assocham submits UP agenda to govt

Members of Assocham presented “Assocham agenda for new government of Uttar Pradesh” to UP CM.

Members of Assocham,including Lalit Khaitan,the chairman of Assocham Northern Region Development Council,presented the “Assocham agenda for new government of Uttar Pradesh” to Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav,Chief Secretary Jawed Usmani and IDC Anil Kumar Gupta.

This agenda was divided into three parts – immediate action agenda,100-day agenda and long-term agenda. Following their suggestions regarding tax exemptions,subsidies to encourage private investment and government focus on developing integrated townships and IT parks,office-bearers of the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India were informed that the UP government is in the process of drafting a new industrial policy for the state,and for which their suggestions were sought. Sources said the government would take up similar exercises with other industry associations as well.
