Arunachal to get a private medical university soon

Arunachal Pradesh will soon have a private university that will exclusively impart higher education in technical and medical sciences,fulfilling a long-pending demand of students willing to opt for such courses

Arunachal Pradesh will soon have a private university that will exclusively impart higher education in technical and medical sciences,fulfilling a long-pending demand of students willing to opt for such courses.

The state currently has only one university — Rajiv Gandhi University — with seven colleges affiliated to it.

The private university,Indira Gandhi Technical and Medical Sciences University,is being established at Ziro in Lower Subansiri district,147 km from Itanagar. The university,set up under the private-public-partnership mode,is the outcome of an Act passed by the Arunachal Assembly in March this year.
