The version with a 3.7 GHz quad-core Intel Xeon E5 processor with Turbo Boost speeds up to 3.9 GHz,dual AMD FirePro D300 GPUs with 2 GB of VRAM each,12 GB memory,and 256 GB of PCIe-based flash storage will cost Rs 2,29,900 including VAT. The 3.5 GHz 6-core Intel Xeon E5 processor version with Turbo Boost speeds up to 3.9 GHz,dual AMD FirePro D500 GPUs with 3 GB of VRAM each,16 GB memory,and 256 GB of PCIe-based flash storage will cost Rs 2,99,900. It has a unified thermal core with a 9.9-inches aluminium enclosure and

one-eighth the volume of the previous generation.

Sony’s new PlayStation 4 will be available from January 6. It would cost a pricey Rs 39,990. Accessories include the PlayStation Eye,a motion-sensing camera,and extra controllers,which cost Rs 4,990 each. First-party titles (those developed and published by Sony) will cost Rs 3,999 while third-party games will cost between Rs 2,499 and Rs 4,499. PS4 comes with 8 GB of unified system memory that is shared by the processor and the graphics card. It comes with 500 GB of storage and connectivity options include ethernet,WiFi,two USB 3.0 ports and Bluetooth. It supports Blu-Ray discs and DVDs.

Samsung’s Galaxy Grand 2 range features improved HD viewing,powerful multitasking and a Club Samsung app loaded with localised infotainment. Galaxy Grand 2 has a 5.25-inch HD screen that allows multiple windows,and enables an application to be run in two windows at the same time. The new My Magazine interface provides personalised news,social media and entertainment. The phone has a soft and textured-touch back cover. The Android 4.3 Jelly Bean phone is powered by a quad core 1.2GHz processor. The 1.5GB of RAM and 2,600mAh battery allows users up to 10 hours of video playback or 17 hours of call and has two SIM slots. It will start selling in January.
