After claiming that he was being interrogated by foreign investigators in Mumbai Polices captivity,terror accused Fahim Ansari on Monday alleged said he was being sexually harassed by a foreign woman officer at the Crawford Market police lock up.
Ansari’s lawyer Ejaz Naqvi moved an application before the Metropolitan Magistrate N Shrimangle stating that during one of the meetings with his client last week,Ansari informed him that a woman officer from an international investigating agency was sexually harassing him in the lock up. The officer mostly carried out her interrogation/harassment during night time,which mostly stretching the entire night. Due to this,he was suffering from itching and injury marks on his entire body including private parts,the application stated.
Public Prosecutor Eknath Dhamal said,The court has issued a notice to the Crime Branch seeking a detailed reply on the allegations made by Ansari,on February 26. The court also gave extra time to the Crime Branch to file a reply till February 26,on Ansaris earlier allegation that foreign investigators were interrogating him.
Ansari and another co-accused Sabahuddin Ahmed were arrested from Uttar Pradesh for allegedly conspiring in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack. The police have stated that Ansari and Sabahuddin had done a recee of the terror targets,made their maps and supplied them to the terror masterminds in Pakistan.
The duo are presently in police custody till February 17,in a case of murder and conspiracy of hijacking an Indian trawler,M V Kuber,in high seas to reach Mumbai shore and later killing its navigator Amar Narayan. The two have been booked for 12 cases registered across the city regarding the terror attack.
