Almond prices declined by Rs 100 per 40 kg in the national capital today.

Almond prices declined by Rs 100 per 40 kg in the national capital today due to reduced offtake by retailers and stockists. Almond (California) prices fell by Rs 100 to Rs 11,700 per 40 kg and its kernel eased by Rs 5 to Rs 410-420 per kg.

Traders attributed the decline in almond prices to reduced offtake by retailers and stockists following fall in demand.

Other dry fruits,after moving in a tight range in the absence of worthwhile activity,settled around previous closing.

The following are today’s quotations (per 40 kg): Almond (California) Rs 11,700 Almond (Gurbandi-new) Rs 6,500-7,300; Almond (Girdhi) Rs 3,100-3,400; Abjosh Afghani Rs 7,000-18,000.

Almond Kernel (California) Rs 410-420 per kg,Almond Kernel (Gurbandi-new) Rs 350-400 per kg.
