8 held in drug racket in Jammu
JAMMU: Eight people were arrested for their alleged involvement in a drug racket in Sidhra area of Jammu on Saturday. The police said Massom Ali Betaab,sold talismans to people as a guise while he supplied drugs to his customers. On a tip-off,the police raided hisresidence in Sidhra. During the raid they seized 78 neurogesic injections,68 diazepam injections,56 bottles of korex and 30 of nitrogen. Massom was arrested along with his sons Mohammed Alam,Mohammed Abbas,Munir Hussain and four others Naseeb Ali,Zulfikar Ali,Saudagar Ali and Anush Sharma.
Quake jolts Doda,Kishtwar districts of J&K,sparks panic
Bhaderwah (J&K): An earthquake of moderate intensity shook Kishtwar and Doda districts of Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday,triggering panic among people. The quake,measuring 3.4 on the Richter scale,hit the region at around 8.04 am,the Met office said. There were no reports of any loss of life or damage to property,officials said.
