7 arrested IM men not involved: NIA

The NIA,probing the Delhi High Court blast,has ruled out the involvement of seven alleged Indian Mujahideen (IM) members who were arrested by Delhi Police between November and December last year.

The agency ruled out their involvement in the September 7,2011 blast after questioning them.

The agency had sought the questioning of the seven suspects after reports of their involvement in Delhi HC blast appeared. They were allowed to question them for two days. “During their questioning,the seven were confronted with the available evidence and it was found that none of alleged IM members were involved in the Delhi HC blast,” said a top NIA official.

Those questioned by the NIA were Mohammed Qateel Siddiqui,Mohammad Adil,Abdur Rehman,Mohammed Irshad,Gayur Ahmed Jamali and Farukh alias Nawab Alam from Madhubani. The NIA had charged Wasim Akram Malik for masterminding the High Court blast.
