2G: CBI court summons Anil Ambani on July 26

A Special CBI Court on Monday directed Reliance ADAG chairman Anil Ambani to depose as a witness on July 26 in the 2G spectrum allocation case

A Special CBI Court on Monday directed Reliance ADAG chairman Anil Ambani to depose as a witness on July 26 in the 2G spectrum allocation case.

The court of Special Judge OP Saini had allowed a CBI plea to call Ambani and 12 others as fresh witnesses in the case last week.

The court has also summoned Anant Raj Industries’ vice president (finance) Yogesh Sharma,ICICI Bank’s Mumbai branch manager Devendra Chandravarkar and two Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) officials as witnesses in the case this week. The court has,however,not issued a date for appearance of Tina Ambani so far.

Meanwhile,Reliance Telecom Limited,on Monday,approached the Supreme court against the CBI court order summoning Anil and Tina Ambani as witnesses.

The Supreme Court

will be taking up the matter

on July 24.
