Zoravar Sandhu topped the charts on the first day of the trap event in the 9th Sardar Sajjan Singh Sethi Memorial Masters shooting championship,in New Delhi on Monday. Sandhu shot 72 at the Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Ranges.
Mansher Singh was close second with 71 while Anirudh Singh was at the third place with 69. Prithviraj Tondaiman 67 finished fifth after he shot 67,and he was followed by National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) president,Raninder Singh,(67),who qualified for the tournament after finishing 13th in the last nationals a shooter has to finish in the top-15 to be deemed eligible for the tournament.
Ryaan Rizvi (66) and Girdhar Pratap Singh (66) were tied seventh. The next 50 birds will be shot on Tuesday,following which the medal ceremony will be held. The competition,on invitation on the basis of performances in the last national championship,started with the trap event.”
