Mahindra United have had a horrendous start to their I-League campaign in 2008,and as a result, find themselves dangling at the bottom of the table. But Steven Dias’s spunky Mohican hairdo was not the only positive development that seemed to come out of the forced break due to the postponement of their I-League match after the Mumbai terrorist attacks. Out-of-form Nigerian striker Edeh Chidi finally found his bearings and also the back of the net.

Mahindra United continued their four-year long unbeaten run against the defending champions Dempo and recorded their first home win of the season by thumping them by 3-1 in comprehensive fashion.

Cohesion in the mid-field had proved to be Mahindra’s biggest problem, but on Monday, they managed to dominate proceedings from the first whistle, and kept possession of the ball admirably.
