Arjun Atwal failed to arrest the slide, slumping to tied 68th after bringing home a third-round card of two-over 72 in the Sony Open on Saturday.

Atwal faltered on the front nine for the second day on the trot and had to settle for his second successive over-par round which took his tally to two-over 212.

A bogey treble on his front nine — on the second, fourth and seventh holes — had him reeling at three-over at the turn and the 10th hole birdie was the lone bright spot in an otherwise dull card.
