Yadav, who was talking to media on the completion of 100 days of the Akhilesh Yadav government, kept open the possibility of a third front. There is no such third front but in politics decisions are taken as per the circumstances. I cannot talk of future, Mulayam said.
He said that SPs support to Pranab Mukherjee in the Presidential election had nothing to do with the Congress. We are supporting Pranab Mukherjee and the President does not belong to a particular party, he said.
Mulayam gave 100 out of 100 to Akhilesh Yadavs government on completing 100 days in office. The government is doing fine. But it is still too early to comment. Give them more time as I have said in the past at least six months, said Mulayam.
He said the state government was doing good work in taking steps for the fulfilment of poll promises of the party. Steps have been taken in the right direction for payment of unemployment allowance, and implementation of the Kanya Vidya Dhan scheme while others are in the pipeline, Mulayam said.
He expressed his satisfaction over handling of corruption and law and order by the Akhilesh Yadav government. The loot,as in the previous government, has been stopped. Corruption is under check. Law and order situation has improved a lot and in coming days it will be totally under control. One cannot prevent sporadic incidents which are a result of personal enmity, he said.
As for Congress leader Rashid Alvis remark describing him as a BJP agent,Mulayam Sigh said, Due to such boastful talk, the Congress is in dire state these days.
