On a day AAP’s national convener Arvind Kejriwal launched party’s farmers’ manifesto, Punjab Deputy CM Sukhbir Singh Badal inaugurated rural sewa kendras at Makhu constituency in Ferozepur district. The sewa kendra buildings had been ready for past several months.
Slamming the farmers’ manifesto of AAP, he said outsiders assembled by AAP are totally ignorant of the rural issues of Punjab and its cultural ethos and values. “Kejriwal can’t tell the difference between the crop of basmati and paddy,” said the Deputy Chief Minister while giving a call to defeat Congress and AAP in next year’s assembly polls. Labeling Kejriwal as the one with a confrontationist attitude, Sukhbir said Kejriwal is a habitual liar who hasn’t lived up to expectations of the people of Delhi before the elections.
Branding Congress and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) as anti-Punjab, Badal said these parties are deliberately defaming Punjab on the drugs issue whereas the dope tests conducted during police recruitments completely belie such false accusations.
