Sucha Singh Chhotepur, who was sacked by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) as its Punjab unit convener over bribery allegations, is set to join hands with former BJP MP Navjot Singh Sidhu who recently launched a political forum called Awaaz-e-Punjab.

Chhotepur announced this in Faridkot Friday where he concluded his ‘Punjab Parivartan Yatra’. He said his supporters have suggested that he set up a new political platform with those with a clean image.

While talking with The Indian Express, Chhotepur said,” I am in touch with Sidhu, (Ludhiana MLAs) Bains brothers, (former SAD MLA) Pargat Singh, (suspended AAP MP) Dr Dharamvira Gandhi and many others. We may float a new political forum whose name we will be decided soon.”

He said the new forum will have little time to work in the entire state and field candidates from all 117 seats but claimed that “as AAP is in panic and is losing popularity, so we are sure people will vote for the fourth front”.

Chhotepur said Punjab voters make up their mind quickly. “Punjab voters had no doubt made up their mind to go for AAP in 2017, but now the party is losing ground. AAP had thought nothing will happen to their party after they sacked me, however, its candidates are in panic and I am sure the fourth front will come to power.”
