Infidelity is a big concern these days. Blame it on the modern lifestyle where partners don’t have the time for each other or just plain lust, tales of cheating have somewhat become a regular part of the social circle. The Ashley Madison hack last year was a big reminder of how ugly things are. The site that helps people to cheat on their spouse has been around since 2001 and claims to have over 37 million users.
Unless you have a loving partner and share a special bond, you can never be sure of what’s going on behind your back. For people with serious trust issues, a Spanish company has manufactured a mattress that promises to keep your mind at peace when you are away. The infidelity detecting mattress by Smarttress will send you notifications if your bed is being used for any unusual activity. The company posted a video on its website that depicts all the things that could be going wrong in your absence. The video also touched upon the sensitive topic of how different ways to meet new people have increased and how Spaniards are the most unfaithful of all. According to them, 28 million break-ups in the world are caused by Whatsapp and Facebook.
The mattress, which costs almost $2,000, uses contact zones detector and vibration sensors in the bed springs, to analyse bedroom activity. If there’s any, it will send you notifications telling you the duration, the intensity and impact per minute. You can order it online on the company’s website although whether they deliver it in India is still unsure.
