Back in 80’s and 90’s, kids preferred spending time with friends to gadgets, pestered their grandparents for stories, and knew better outdoor games than kids today. Cut to 2014, kids are glued to technology and have forgotten the art of having fun with creative games. Besides, their parents find it difficult to spend quality time with them in their extremely busy schedules.
In an attempt to fill that gap, OLX Everland is organising a one-of-its-kind event that allows children and parents to enjoy quality times together. The two-day carnival (31 January-February 1) will take place at Asiad Village and will give children an opportunity to pick-up skills and knowledge in a fun and enjoyable manner.
“As the number one marketplace for used goods in Delhi, we created OLX Everland so our Delhi users can enjoy quality time with their children and families. There is an obvious dearth of events in the city that the whole family can enjoy together, and we noticed that parents these days are struggling to find holistic and fun activities for their kids. We want to change that. As an open marketplace, OLX brings people together for mutual benefit. Through OLX Everland we are bringing families together for mutual enjoyment. OLX Everland is our way of giving back to our users and to Delhi, and creating a deeper sense of community,” says Amarjit Singh Batra, CEO, OLX India.
The event will be inaugurated by renowned storyteller Ms. Gaeta Ramanujam, Executive Director at Academy of Storytelling and Kathalaya Trust, who will also conduct storytelling sessions for kids at the carnival.
