J-K Govt has spent Rs 572 crore on NRHM

The Jammu and Kashmir government today said it has spent a total of Rs 572 crores under the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) in the state.

The Jammu and Kashmir government today said it has spent a total of Rs 572 crores under the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) in the state.

An amount of Rs 572.25 crores stand utilised under NRHM on different activities upto the ending January 2012,Minister for Health Sham Lal Sharma said in reply to a question by JKNPP member Balwant Singh Mankotia in the state Assembly.

An amount of Rs 591.61 crores has been released by the Government of India under NRHM since its inception in the state,he said adding Rs 87.12 crores is state share upto ending January 2012 thus aggregating to Rs 679.73 crores.

Replying to a question about vacancy in government health institutions,he said that 933 posts in gazetted category and 2984 posts in non-gazetted category are lying vacant in various health institutions of the state.
