If you are a big time foodie then you probably know that Restaurant Week is finally underway. Probably, the largest pan-India culinary event to have hit us, the extravaganza spanning over 10 days, across six cities looks like the perfect opportunity for food enthusiasts to dine at some of India’s finest restaurants at a fraction of a la carte rates.
The restaurants participating in this year’s fest range from Olive Bar & Kitchen and Dum Pukht, ITC Maurya in Delhi; Caprese, Shangri-La Hotel and Graze, Vivanta by Taj in Bengaluru; and Asilo, The St Regis and China House, Grand Hyatt in Mumbai.
Diners in Mumbai will be offered, a three-course fixed menu at Rs 1,100 for lunch and Rs 1,300 for dinner; Rs 900 for lunch and Rs 1,100 for dinner in Bengaluru; Rs 750 for lunch and Rs 900 for dinner in Chennai; Rs 900 for lunch or dinner in Kolkata and Rs 750 for lunch or dinner in Pune. But there’s a catch here. All prices will be exclusive of taxes and if you order any dish outside of the special Restaurant Week menu, you will have to pay extra. Other than the regular items on the a la carte menu, it will also feature items for health conscious diners like gluten free, vegan, low carb and low sugar food.
You can check Zomato (who has tied-up with Restaurant Week) for the details of all the participating restaurants. A nominal booking fee of Rs 60 per person will be secured online at the time of bookings at restaurantweekindia.com and the customer can pay for the meal directly at the restaurant.
Since this event is a collaboration between Cellar Door Hospitality and Ola, the mobile cab company will offer complimentary Ola rides to customers, to and from the restaurants in Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune. In addition to this, all Ola Prime customers will be getting an exclusive booking access 3 days in advance.
The festival is on till September 25.
