If you have a sweet tooth, it’s highly likely that the thought of chocolate would create a warm fuzzy feeling right down to your soul, make your mouth water and your eyelids close ever so lightly at the very thought of savouring a mouthful of luscious rich molten chocolate. Those sinful balls of Ferrero Rochers is a delight for most of us and popping them into our mouths, biting through the crispy soft-shell and into the mouse-like centre takes one through a range of emotions that’s hard to put in words, we know. But what if one said that the chocolatey goodness can now be savoured over five different decadent dishes?
Well, this would require a trip to London, but should you be there during December 1-11, then there is a pop-up store that must make it on your to-visit list. After a pretty successful Nutella pop-up (sigh!), the British capital is now readying itself for a Ferrero Rocher one — Dolce by Ferrero Rocher.
What else is making news
The menu of five mini-desserts specially created by chef Paul Hannagen will take visitors on a “tasting journey, celebrating how Ferrero Rocher brings together the delicious layers of a whole, crunchy hazelnut; rich, smooth chocolate; crisp, wafer shell; and gently roasted hazelnut pieces. All wrapped in gold,” according to the website.
The pop-up store is scheduled to be at 21 Slingsby Place, Covent Garden, WC2E 9AB, and entry charges are £10 for walk-ins and pre-booked tickets are retailing for £15, which includes a glass of prosecco. The store will be closed on Mondays.
