Soak fruits overnight in port and red wine for that added punch in your sangria.
A summer without being punch drunk on sweet sangria is no summer at all. All those boozy, luscious bits of fruit, wine and fruit juice maybe the easiest recipe for sangria, but every chef has his own mix. Some prefer brandy to make it sweeter and some others prefer the complexity of rum. We’ve even got one recipe that uses port wine to make the sangria all the more heady. We’d like a pitcher of each please.
Sangria Red
Ingredients
120 ml- Red wine
30 ml- Orange Juice
10 ml- Triple sec
5g- Castor Sugar
15 ml- Dark rum
2- Sliced red apples
2- Slices of orange
Method
* Mix all the ingredients and some ice cubes in a shaker, stir well and strain into a chilled wine glass.
* Garnish with slices of apple and orange.
Sangria white
Ingredients
120 ml- White wine
10 ml- Passion fruit syrup
10 ml- Peach syrup
2- Sliced green apples
2- Slices of orange
Method
* Mix all the ingredients and some ice cubes in a shaker, stir well and strain into a chilled wine glass.
* Garnish with slices of apple and orange.

Instead of just fruits and fruit syrup, try adding brandy to your sangria mix.
Red wine Brandy Sangria
Ingredients
1 bottle- Red wine of your choice
150 ml- Brandy of your choice
1- Sliced apple
2- Chopped apples
60 ml- Orange liqueur
100 ml- Orange juice
1- Orange slice
Method
* Take a big jar and put all the ingredients and mix well.
* Let the mixture be kept for around 12 hours to get the best out of it.
* Keep the mixture in a fridge/chiller for the duration.
* Serve with chopped apple during service.

Some add rum and even vodka for a headier sangria.
The Olive Signature Sangria (Serves 22 glasses)
Ingredients
1 Bottle- Port wine
1 Bottle- Red wine
500 ml- Vodka
150ml- Cointreau
500ml- Red grape juice
500ml- Apple juice
1- Chopped apple
1- Chopped pear
1- Pomegranate
Method
* Soak the fruits overnight in red wine and port, and refrigerate.
* The next day, add the vodka, Cointreau, Apple juice, and Red grape juice. Add 4 to 5 cubes of ice, and stir well to chill the sangria.
The sangria is ready to serve.
