It has been quite some time after demonetisation was announced. While many are yet to withdraw money, others have already got their Rs 500 and Rs 2,000 currency notes. That, however, doesn’t make the situation any better, with now your friendly shopkeepers also refusing to give you basics like dal and rice — because they don’t have loose money on them either, just like you!

And all you are left with are the bread you managed to buy, some leftover rice and some cheese, while you crave for some delicious food. But guess what? You can in fact, have a feast! We aren’t kidding. What we mean is, you can kick the demonetisation and cash crunch blues away by preparing lip-smacking dishes out of the leftovers you have.

For starters, all you need are the basics like flour, oil, cheese, butter and rice, and you are sorted! No, really! Leftover rice can easily become yummy cheesy rice balls for snacks and leftover roti can become pizza or a tortilla pakora in no time! And if you are in the mood for some cake, then all you need are some bread slices.

And even if you aren’t exactly affected by the cash crunch, try making these easy recipes because they seem to be just as delicious! And if you are in a festive mood, with Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc., fast approaching, it is only fair that you don’t let demonetisation come your way.
