Though Sridevi is almost unbeatable when it comes to nailing ethnic fashion (Her Sabyasachi sari on the occasion of Karva Chauth still makes us sigh), she seems a little off the mark with her glitzy green jumpsuit this time. A number from Dolly J Studio, we think the actor’s paillette ensemble was a little too gaudy. Styled by Eshaa Amiin, the monotone and spangled jumpsuit was monotonous and could have used a subtle shade to tone down the bling of the outfit. We like the sea-green danglers, rimmed with gold that the actor teamed her outfit with and they were the only muted element in her attire.
The actor rounded out her look with dewy make-up, nude lips, smoky eyes and a gold ring. We think Amiin could have done a better job with the styling by leaving her hair open in waves and the monotony of the moss green could have been broken with the use of some smart green shades.
Another actor who hasn’t quite made us green with envy is Neha Dhupia, who unfortunately is a frequent name on the fashion misses list. However, this time the actor as somewhat managed to pull off the look as she stepped out wearing a layered frill skirt in green by H&M and a floral shirt from the same brand. Though we love the chic skirt, we think the shirt could have used fewer prints. We also liked how she accessorised the ensemble with an statement black watch. Dhupia rounded out her look with red pumps by Jimmy Choo and beachy waves. The actor looked pretty twirling in her frill green skirt, however, the skirt fell flat without the twirls. She looked nice but we think she won by default.
