The Oscar red carpet is undisputedly the world’s most-watched stretch of red carpet with stars donning luxurious gowns, glittering sequins and daring necklines. But it’s not always about haute couture. Celebs love endorsing the cause they believe in and this year Lily Cole did it in style!

The 28-year-old actor picked a silver Vivienne Westwood gown made completely out of recycled plastic bottles and she actually made quite a statement. It’s not really easy to pull off such a look, especially on the red carpet.

The actor even shared a photo on Instagram before stepping out of the limo.

The dress is a part of the ethically made project called Red Carpet Green Dress and the initiative was spearheaded by James and Suzy Amis Cameron.
