In the Capital to attend the Women Achievers’ Awards by Naaz Foundation, Huma Qureshi and Sania Mirza chose to go for black as their colour. While the Gangs of Wasseypur actor opted for a Matsya World anarkali, Mirza chose Anita Dongre separates. However, in spite of throwing impressive fashion statements our way in the past, both the celebs failed to impress this time. Although definitely not disastrous, Qureshi and Mirza could have done better or at least used their make-up and/or accessories to salvage their respective looks.
Qureshi opted for golden chandbalis from Minerali store, which along with the golden and bold floral work on her dupatta seemed too loud. Styled by Sanjana Batra, she chose to style her hair into a simple, sleek mid-parted bun. The matted lipstick added no value to her overall appearance while on the other hand, her eyes were kohled to perfection.
The tennis star wore a black bishop-sleeved Dongre top with silver zari work on the neck. She chose to pair it with a rich and elaborate silver voluminous skirt with elaborate design on it. Styled by Ami Patel and Sanjay Kumar Dohalia, she wore her hair down, the bounces in which added volume to her overall appearance which did not help. The quirky, silver jewellery she opted for, accentuated the garrish appearance and her deep red lipstick seemed sadly out of place.
