On November 24, Mukesh and Nita Ambani hosted the wedding of their niece, Isheta Salgaocar with jeweller Nirav Modi’s brother, Neeshal Modi at their lush residence, Antilia. In true Ambani style, the evening was a grand affair and the guest list was studded with stars. We spotted Deepika Padukone walk hand-in-hand with beau Ranveer Singh, while power couple Aishwarya rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan gave company to Amitabh Bachchan. Other bigwigs present at the wedding were Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar, Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha, Kriti Sanon, Shraddha Kapoor, John Abraham and wife Priya Runchal, Manish Malhotra, Sania Mirza, Lara Dutta, Juhi Chawla, Sonali Bendre, among others.
They were all dressed in their festive best but only five of them got our attention. Take a look.
Styled by Shaleena Nathani, Deepika Padukone looked like a goddess in a laser cut sari by Rohit Bal. The white sari which had a toned-down golden border created a beautiful contrast. Flaunting her chiselled shoulders in a sexy halter neck blouse, the Padmavati actress set some serious benchmark with her marsala lips. She accessorised it perfectly with a pair of earrings from Mahesh Notandas and rings from Johri by Amaze.
Alia Bhatt glowed in a Manish Malhotra silver-grey sequined sari, which she paired with a striped cutout blouse. The 23-year-old actress wore her hair up in a neat side-parted bun and complemented it with a bindi and smokey eye make-up.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan attended the Ambani bash wearing a Manish Malhotra outfit. The lehenga was a bit too much for us too handle and that’s precisely the reaon it got our attention. The lady could have worked out something better.
Kriti Sanon looked lovely in a green Anju Modi lehenga and long kurta with jewellery from Amrapali. The only thing we didn’t like is the wide border of the neckline, but she still managed to carry it off.
Sonakshi Sinha picked a blue Anita Dongre floor-length anarkali. Just like Aishwarya’s outfit, this one did not catch our fancy. We think the cut-out bustier looked a little tacky.
