You know it’s true when they say, “You have made it when it’s time to publish a memoir”. Renowned fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger recently launched his memoir, ‘American Dreamer: My Life in Fashion & Business’, which chronicles the 65-year-old designer’s life and his four decades ascent in the fashion industry. Co-written by Hilfiger and Peter Knobler, the book has been published by Penguin Random House.

Hilfiger said in a statement, “After more than 40-years in the fashion industry, I wanted to record the memories behind my life and brand. American Dreamer is a roadmap of the moments that have defined both my career and my personal life – from my childhood in Elmira, New York, to building a global business. I’m so excited to share my journey and I hope it can inspire others to pursue their dreams.”

We are already eager to catch up on his biggest successes and failures and we sincerely hope it’s filled with page-turning stories. Also, learn about his super stylish wife Dee Ocleppo and his five children. A-listers like Mick Jagger have already praised the book. It might not be common knowledge but Hilfiger’s elegant and stylish looks were a favourite among rockstars.

Even footballer David Beckham was all praise for the designer. He said in a statement, “Tommy is an inspiration to many people. American Dreamer shows how he has managed to be successful in business and done so with integrity. I have come to know Tommy, and every time we talk I learn something new about creating a successful brand.”

We wonder what Hilfiger’s muse Gigi Hadid has to say about it.
