Delhi’s much-awaited Comic Con festival starts December 9

The Capital’s much-awaited entertainment festival — the Delhi Comic Con is all set to begin. From December 9 to 11, Delhi’s comic lovers will head to the NSIC Grounds in South Delhi’s Okhla to welcome guests of the likes of Nicolas Wild, Tom Richmond, Joe Harris and other eminent comic artists from across the world.

DJ Elliot, Walt Disney World’s official DJ and actor and stand-up comedian Gaurav Gera, best known for his ‘Shopkeeper’ videos, will entertain the audience at the festival, which will also see panel discussions and book launched of Indian comics.

“We head into our sixth year in Delhi, bigger and better than ever before. This is the biggest convention we have ever organised, with tons of new exhibitors, activities and exclusives,” said Jatin Varma, the founder of Comic Con India, in a statement. The organisers have also promised that there are a lot more on offer and hope to provide Delhi its “biggest pop-culture event” of the year.

Exclusive and interesting gaming zones like AXN Experience Zone, ESL India Premiership, Bahubali Zone, Alto K10 Gaming and Art Zone, Rogue One – A Stars Wars Story and WWE Zone have also been organised for the festival revellers.

Other Indian artists like Saumin Patel, Aniruddho Chakraborty, Vivek Goel, Shamik Das Gupta, and more are expected to be a part of the crowd-puller.

The colourful festival will also see people dressing up as their favourite comic, gaming characters and superheroes to win Rs 50,000 each of the days and later even enter into ‘Indian Championships of Cosplay’.
