Expelled AIADMK MP Sasikala Pushpa has moved the Supreme Court seeking a CBI probe or a judicial investigation by an apex court judge into the death of J Jayalalithaa. In her petition, Pushpa has alleged that Jayalalithaa’s death was “suspicious” as her actual medical condition was not disclosed, no one was allowed to visit her, her funeral photographs showed embalming marks and everything from her hospitalisation to her death “was kept under wraps”.

The Rajya Sabha MP has sought directions to the Centre, the Tamil Nadu government and Apollo Hospital, where Jayalalithaa was hospitalised, to disclose details of her health report and treatment in a sealed cover to the apex court.

A similar plea was filed this week in the apex court by Tamil Nadu Telugu Yuva Sakthi claiming that doubts have been raised over the circumstances of the AIADMK leader’s death and her medical reports needed to be examined by experts.

Whether the court which is busy with demonetization appeals and banning old vehicles and pollution and other such things will get time to look into this serious matter is to be seen. This is case where the laws of the land has been put into test. Someone important is hospitalized and no proper reports were given. Close relatives were not allowed to visit the patient. Why the relatives were denied admittance? If it was under instructions from someone, what authority that person had to control everything connected with the patient. I hope Supreme Court will take this case seriously and ask the CBI to make an enquiry. State government cannot be expected to do anything in this regard a the party controlling it is very much involved in this w affair. It was its spokesman who was making all sorts of announcement regarding the ex-CM's health. If at all, only CBI can find out if some unknown things have happened in the hospital.

I am very happy that there is atleast one person taking up this issue. What is more shocking is that if this is the plight for most powerful CM of the state then think about the common man's fate in this cruel state. People of tamilnadu are so selfish they dont care about the same thinking that they are not affected anyway.lt;br/gt; Justice must prevail on Honorable CM madam's case.Thorough investigation is must and Apollo hospital and government is answerable to all untold questions, as people at large has interest in knowing the truth.

As per media reports the medical bills are yet to be settled. Why apollo is not claiming the expenses to the state government. If govt settles the bill, then everybody will come to know as the expenses are auditable. If party has already made payment, the hospital can come out and say the party has paid the bill and close the matter. Definitely there is some goof up in treatment, which the hospital want to hide. Looks like that may be the reason for not claiming the expenses.
