Tributes paid to Mirwaiz Farooq,Gani Lone

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and other ruling National Conference leaders today paid tributes to separatist leaders Mirwaiz Mohammad Farooq and Abdul Gani Lone on their death anniversaries.

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and other ruling National Conference leaders today paid tributes to separatist leaders Mirwaiz Mohammad Farooq and Abdul Gani Lone on their death anniversaries.

Paying tributes,Omar and party president Farooq Abdullah said the contribution of both the leaders will always be remembered with much reverence for all times to come and their religious and political teachings will always be remembere.

“Mirwaiz Mohammad Farooq played a crucial role in promoting the fundamentals of Islam. Various Islamic and political leaders have been educated by the school run by the late Mirwaiz,” a party statement quoted both the leaders as saying.

The two leaders said the death of Mirwaiz was a great loss to the state.

While paying tributes to Abdul Gani Lone,Abdullah and Omar said that he was a learned legislator,an important leader and also a great social worker who always raised his voice for poor and weaker sections of the society.
