To discuss the report submitted by a committee which had been set up by IIT Bombay to deliberate on the proposed reforms in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) and give suggestions,a special senate meeting has been called by the institute on Friday. The recommendations will be put up for consideration. The faculty members will deliberate on the proposals drawn by the committee and give their inputs. The final report, after approval by the IIT Bombay senate, will be submitted to the IIT Council. During the last special senate meeting at IIT Bombay, most faculty members had said that the admission process proposed by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) was not acceptable. The house had then expressed strong concerns about the inclusion of board marks in ranking of students and the decision to implement the Indian Science Engineering Eligibility Test (ISEET) for 2013 without establishing its contents and objectives.
