Rahul Gandhi hits out at Modi govt for isolating India, says NDA creating problem in foreign policy Congress President Rahul Gandhi (File)

Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday accused the NDA government of creating a “problem” in India’s foreign policy and said the country stood “isolated” in the region.

Underlining China’s expanding influence, Gandhi said the most important part of a country’s foreign policy was having a “good relationship” with others. “Today India is actually isolated in the region,” he told professionals and business people here during an interaction on the last day of his four-day ‘Janashirvad Yatra’ in the northern region of poll-bound Karnataka.

India should work for creating as many jobs as there are in China, he said, adding that New Delhi must find a peaceful and not aggressive way to counter Beijing. “We have to find a way, not an aggressive way, not a military way, but a peaceful way to compete with the Chinese,” he said.

Gandhi referred to the “massive expansion” of Chinese presence in the region. “You see the Chinese have a presence in Nepal, they have a presence in Pakistan, in Sri Lanka, in Maldives… They have a presence in Burma (Myanmar),” Gandhi added.

He said the NDA government had created a “problem” in India’s foreign policy. India’s “old friend Russia” was now “cosying up to our neighbours on the western side”, he said, adding, “This is actually a serious problem which is not getting discussed.”

Hitting out at the Union government on employment generation, Gandhi claimed that while China was creating 50,000 jobs in 24 hours, the NDA government was generating 450 jobs in 24 hours. “The simple thing is, there is only one measure, not two: how many jobs is India creating and how many jobs is China creating. I’m sad to say that over the last four years it (job creation) has become a really serious problem,” he added.

On economic growth, he said India was “doing okay, (but) it was doing much better before”. The issue of jobs, he said, was not being publicly discussed. “When it comes to jobs, India is failing completely and this is not something that is publicly in the discourse at all,” he added.

Gandhi, however, conceded that to an extent even during the Congress-led UPA rule, “we were nowhere near the number of jobs that needed to be created”. He also spoke about the “massive increase” in the defence budgets of the U.S., China and Russia, and said, “We are now entering a new phase in world politics where you are going to see increased tension between U.S., China and Russians.” “In this situation, India has to have a clear understanding of the path going forward,” he said.

As Far Nepal is concerned anyone who knows history could easily undersatand that India never consider Nepal as a Good Friends . India have already imposed inhuman ade in Nepal for three times 20 years Nepal have changed a lot on literacy , poverty , communication , media and other several sectors but still India think Nepali as a guard to protect them on LOC and Nepali mountain as a natural wall to protect India from China . Indian people still think India is helping Nepal by giving few aumbulance on their independed day . Do you really think Nepal the Country who has budget over RS 14,00,00,00,00,000.00 need Indian ambulance ? Nepal not going to wait for India to change its appoarch . As a sovereign Nation Nepal will will appoarch its neighbors as they deserve . First Step must be Clolsing Nepal - India open Border and issuing work Visa for Indian working in Nepal . Opening at least 7 border point in North and start working on Kathmandu-Kerung-Kashgar Railways .

From whom ? you can work for foreign companies but why are you harassing your own people, who want to take India forward ? why are you stealing their ideas and donating to those poisonous snakes ? If India grow, you'll also grow. If India has good infrastructure, you'll also benefit, if India has good school, your kids will only benefit. why are you looting your own country and donating them ? do your work for those poisonous snakes, take your ry, why are you friends, your families to them ? you don't have to share any detail apart from your work.

The chinese presence in Sri Lanka and Nepal and Myanmar started more than a decade ago, Rahul, you cre.tin. Even the average Indian is aware of that, and here you are pretending that it all started during Modi's regime. Do you really think all Indians are as stupid as you are? Maybe they will prove that it is so by electing you Prime Minister one of these days.

Modi's foreign policy achievements 1) China's army settles down along Indian borders and intrudes into Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand crisis on Arunachal border is not resolved, though govt made a bid to mislead us 2) Sri Lankan Navy and Coast Guard still harasses, arrests and kills Indian fishermen, especially those from Tamil Nadu 3) Goodwill of African countries lost by racist attacks on Africans in and around Delhi 4) Ties with Nepal sour due to India's 'unofficial' economic ade of the landlocked Hindu majority country in 2015. Shortage of fuel and medicines angers Nepalis, especially those living in regions bordering India 5) India also fails regional ally Maldives by refusing to help it despite calls for help from the island's opposition leaders who are targeted by an autocratic President. (Contrast this to what the Indian govt did in 1988 through Operation Cactus). 6) India loses trust of even friendly neighbours, China wins over Saarc members....

Rahul Gandhi, you are a low IQ imbecile -- this is not high school debate class where you make statements that are moronic and devoid of fact. Go on then, why don't you get more specific about exactly what problems have been created and how. One can only pray that a complete moron like you never gets elected to the office of the PM, your stupidity and your army of sychophants will destroy India all over again, like they did for 60 years under your father, g mother, and great g father. Thoo.

Modi has transformed into a joker in the last 4 years. Modi failed as PM as he thought a country could be built by 1) organising mass yoga events, road shows or rock show-like spectacles abroad 2) holding radio talks and Tiranga rallies 3) guiding and following third-rate cyber goons 4) encouraging vandals on streets and crass cheerleaders at rallies 5) frequent overseas tours that don't yield gains commensurate to a PM's visit 6) abusing opposition 7) coining acronyms 7) frequent tweets 8) obfuscating historic facts 9) blaming the real builders of the nation to hide one's own failures 10) shielding criminal party leaders 11) appointing semi-literate country bumpkins as CMs 12) oratory devoid of intellectual heft 13) renaming old schemes or bodies 14) whimsical actions.... Desire or noble intentions are not enough: Indian Prime Ministership is an art. Modi proves why he is unfit as PM and why the Gandhis could be successful PMs. His jealousy and fear prompts him to target them.
