Reacting to the The Indian Express report of an evasive reply by alleged middleman Guido Haschke in the VVIP chopper deal during the trial in an Italian court, the BJP Friday criticised the CBI for its silence on probing the money trail.

“Why the CBI did not question the middleman who is the ‘AP’ and the ‘FAM’ in the diaries?” BJP spokesperson Prakash Javadekar told The Indian Express.
The BJP has been demanding the CBI to go after the money trail based on diary entries which are alleged payments to certain entities listed as abbreviations.
Guido Haschke, who has consistently denied bribing Indian politicians or
officials, replied that he did not know who or what ‘AP’ stood for.
The BJP Friday also demanded the resignation of Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh in the wake of The Indian Express report that five firms that had ceased to exist were used to transfer money to the CM and his family.
