Pune BJP MP Anil Shirole was set to travel to Delhi Tuesday with ‘proof’ of Gopinath Munde’s qualification.  Asked to get the certificate “to put a stop” to Congress’s allegations that he had “graduated in 1976 from a college established in 1978”, Shirole had got it from University of Pune, signed by vice chancellor W Gade on a special request: “Gopinath Pandurang Munde of ILS Law College having been examined and found duly qualified for degree of Bachelor of Laws (general) and placed in the Pass Class in April 1976.’’ “I got the certificate last evening. Mundeji asked me to get it along,’’ said Shirole.

Munde’s affidavit says he graduated from New Law College, but BJP members have clarified it was a typo and it should have been ILS Law College.
