BJP president Amit Shah Sunday addressed three public meetings in poll-bound Jharkhand and requested voters help his party form a government on its own in the state. While Shah addressed meetings in Lohardaga, Chatra and Panki, his meeting at rebel-hit Ghagra in Gumla district was cancelled as the party failed to get permission 56 hours in advance as required.
At Chatra, Shah said a BJP-led government in the state would mean that the eastern region of the country would be as developed as the rest. He said Chhattisgarh saw development under BJP rule and promised the same for Jharkhand. Shah also spoke at Lohardaga, where BJP ally AJSU Party has fielded a candidate.
