With the BJP being categorical that it was not likely to pander to the Sena, a worried Sena leadership which has not been in government for the last 15 years decided to send emissaries to smoothen the ruffled ties within the two parties.

Two of Thackeray’s close confidantes party MP Anil Desai and senior party leader Subhash Desai were asked to fly to Delhi where they met Singh and are said to have offered support.

Am really disappointed that BJP chose to seek an alliance with Shiv Sena; IMHO, this will chip away at NAMO's credibility as a leader of all Indians. Shiv Sena is a defunct political eny which so relies on dynastic ties. Besides, their past as a party of thugs doesn't impress anyone. Hope they do not go forward with this alliance, even if they don't end up taking power in Maharashtra; it is a matter of prinls. When you lie with dogs, you will invariably be bitten by fleas.

Good that they are coming together again. Sena must know there is a limit for tantrums. Hope in future also they will not create problems. If they do, people will throw them out forever.

One way writing in Saamana that we were allies and another page writing that Modi wave has not hit the s, even in not majority trumpeting the drums, many more such things on daily basis will not bring friends together. For whose benefit this was being written ? what was the objective of such writings ? Why not to write Confidence building writings and send clear signal...If one has ego that BJP to come to SS for support I suppose it is unrealistic in the present situation when biggies bitten dust....I guess BJP reads the mind of SS. If one has to be friends we have to keep off from such writings .Best is bring an atmosphere of trust and confidence keep the EGO aside....Aditya should watch silently than make any comments at this point of time...surely things will change

At long last, the bluff of Shiv sena has been called and BJP has ultimately succeeded in dismounting the monkey off its back.
