Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray Sunday said the decision to join the BJP government would be taken after the trust vote in the Assembly.
“The Shiv Sena is not in a hurry to join the BJP-led government in Maharashtra. What is the hurry? We will take a decision later,” said Uddhav in Kolhapur.
Later in the evening, BJP leaders said the Sena wanted the BJP to spell out the cabinet portfolios. The BJP has made it clear it is not going to concede the Sena’s demand for deputy chief minister’s post at any cost. However, it has indicated that it is willing to set aside important portfolios that have not been assigned to anybody yet for its alliance partners. The two portfolios that the BJP is ready to allocate to Sena include power, and water resources.
The BJP is also ready to give agriculture and PWD ministries to Sena, said sources.
