With the Opposition refusing to relent on its protests inside Parliament, Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan has convened an all-party meeting on Thursday to discuss better functioning of the House.

Both Houses of Parliament had adjourned on Wednesday following the death of former President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam in Shillong earlier this week.

The monsoon session of Parliament has seen continuous protests by the Opposition, specially the Congress party, which has been demanding the resignation of External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj over the Lalit Modi UK visa controversy.

Moreover, the protests took an ugly turn when Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury slammed a placard on the Speaker’s table forcing her to reprimand him and suspend the MP for a day. Since its commencement on July 21, the session has been a complete washout.

While the NDA government has refused to relent, key legislation including the Land Bill and the GST Bill, are pending, and the government is keen on pushing legislation given the upcoming assembly elections in Bihar.

WB MP Mr choudhury was being followed since long days back because of his misbehaving in the parliaments. One thing must know maximum of WB MPs are of very much unruly misbehaving both physical and orally. Choudhury must have been suspended for the full session experiencing his past behaviour. He has crossed not only the the limit rather went much ahead of the line.

We don't understand why all these MPs behaving like kid students??? If they don't abide by the rules of Indian consution why they can't be thrown out of parliament by the security guards. Chairman must take the stringent action against all these misbehaving and barking like street dogs MPs.

The Problem with Congress Party is not a land bill or any other bill but it worried if Modi Govt is not blocked it may be vanished from Indian Politics. It wants to create maximum problems in the both houses of Parliament. To be honest in Public it does not have any voice or support. If it allowed smooth functioning of house then it is a defeat for them.Party wants to end Monsoon Session without carrying any business to achieve its goal.

cut the ry of the MP's for the days that the house does not function. Increase their ry if the house functions all the days. they are not accountable to the nation the way they are behaving. petty politics cannot hold the poverty alleviation and development of the nation at ransom. We need a m movement against stalling of parliament. Democracy does not become disruptive democracy like what is happening . if a minister has done some thing wrong, set up a fast Court to fix, parliamentary committees to decide. For heaven sake , make MP's accountable to the people of India, whose money is spent on them.
