Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Thursday alleged that “affection” for Muslims of BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi was merely a show off and the people should not believe the BJP leader.

“Modi was remembering Muslims at the time of Lok Sabha elections, but in reality his love for Muslims was merely a show off,” Yadav said while addressing an election rally here.

Modi yesterday had said that Muslims would start liking him when they meet him.

The UP Chief Minister said the people should not believe such BJP leaders.

Alleging that BJP’s existence continues due to the wrong policies of Congress, he said this election was a different kind of election.

While on one side there were communal forces, on the other side there were people of socialist thinking and now it was upto the people to decide, he said, and claimed that only SP supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav can ensure welfare of the country.

His wife and MP Dimple Yadav said Gujarat was being projected as a model state, which was a wrong notion and the reality was totally opposite.

She said the SP would perform better and Mulayam Singh Yadav would be the Country’s Prime Minister after the Lok Sabha polls.

why are your family members are only contesting from Uttar Pradesh again and again since they have already doveloped Uttar Pradesh. They should contest from Gujrat if you feel that Gujrat still needs development. You could then aggresively put forth your ideas of development of Gujrat more effectively. From rallies in Uttar Pradesh, your claim that Gujrat is not developed, cannot be erted right. You have to elaborate specifically where Uttar Pradesh is in advanced stage of development than Gujarat. If Uttar Pradesh is developed then why thousands of people are coming to Mumbai and other parts of Maharashtra for jobs and works. Why wanted criminals are being sent to Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh police is interested in stolen buffalows of Azam Khan.

Every mongrel feel that he can claim the position of Prime Minister. This family has build their bones with the backing of minority (which is silent majority and their prinl vote bank) and it's difficult for them to see it slipping if any favorable statement is made by other political party. The recent statement by ex-CM of UP against capital punishment in rape cases while referring death penalty to three rape accused in shakti Mill rape cases was nothing but to gain the sympathy of minority because most of them were from particular minority section. I am sure the results of LS Polls would show them their true place.
